AFICT Association for International cooperation and Tolerance is the youth organization, an organization well-known for its strong anti-war position and constant struggle for respect of human rights and contributions to that cause. Association for International Cooperation and Tolerance members have always pledged for integration, cooperation and communication on all levels of the society. As they still do. Our organizations goals have always been: to create a peaceful, tolerant civic society within the modern country, set towards Europe . Today, after taking the responsibility for creating such future, Association for International cooperation and Tolerance organizes seminars about the very foundations of a modern society - human rights, democratic control of defense forces, tolerance and peaceful resolution of conflicts like international cooperation. We have one local office in Knjazevac In the meantime, since the very beginning, Association for International Cooperation and Tolerance has cooperated with the international, non-governmental organizations in Europe and Kosovo. As the result of such cooperation, we now have trained members and experienced leaders who form the core of Association for International Cooperation and Tolerance. …and the figures Since it was founded in 2000, the Association for International Cooperation and Tolerance has spread ideas of human rights and civic freedoms throughout the entire Serbia. Today, tree years after, we have good position and partners to make a strong youth network not just on Balkans. Organization's day is the 10 of December. The Human Rights day. Our partners Association for International Cooperation and tolerance actively cooperates with many national and international organizations. There's no such an organization with good connection with organizations from Kosovo and Albania. We create campaigned for project Youth Action for Tolerance in Kosovo and Serbia , next partner countries are Croatia , Bulgaria , Montenegro , Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia. Now we are working on international cooperation, Project: Energy Fest 019 D.J. music festival in Knjazevac, South East Serbia. Festival is planned since 31.7.2004-2.8.2004. Location Knjazevac, Baranica, with free camp for the visitors. Are main partner is Association HI-TECH Procedure, Lille France . Special characteristic of the festival is human work; all money from the tickets is for Human purpose. Another great characteristic of the festival is promotion of tolerance, non violent communication and volunteerism, because volunteerism is not so much supported in Knjazevac and it's growing with AFICT slowly. On the national level - we cooperate youth organizations, students' organizations, famous NGOs - Belgrade Center for Human Rights, Interdisciplinary Project Group, NOG's B I H and others. Our main partner is CAA- Center for Antiwar Action; Belgrade witch is connected with all projects for developing on local level. We cooperate with CAA since February 2004. till present. On the regional level - We also cooperate actively with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), IRC, UMCOR, and Youth Center Kamenica in Kosovo. Citizen Forum Skopje, Macedonia , ,Liberal Student Organization, Zagreb , Croatia , Youth Organization , Bulgaria . On the international level , with Youth Club, member on WEIRD- NETWORK, Denmark, UMCOR, IRC, ARC, Kosovo and many others. Participants of seminar were from: Youth Center , Kosovska Kamenica, LIDEM, Macedonia , RDFY, Bulgaria and AFICT, Serbia . Financial support was from OSCE. Prizren, and IRC Kosovska Kamenica, Kosovo. Logistical support was from OSCE, Youth Center , Kosovo and Association for International Cooperation and Tolerance. Seminar covered following activities: Lecture I Tolerance and non-violent communication - Sinisa Veljkovic, AFICT, Knjazevac. Workshop I Virtual Parliament - Maja Sudjicki and Vladana S.Veljkovic and Bojana S. Veljkovic, AFICT, Belgrade The Tolerance and non-violent communication lecture spoked about tolerance on examples in Serbia and all participants were giving their opinion about tolerance. The second part was about Kosovo problems in last decade and finding peaceful solution for crisis areas. Participans were active in discusion and they had a chance to give opinion and present problems from their regions. Participants think this subject was very inportant for this seminar. Lecture was very good. The Peaceful resolution of conflicts lecture spoked about possible reasons for the war, how to protect peace, make postmodern society,establish democracy system, about political leadership and peace bilding in crisis areas. Participants think this subject was presented with very interesting approach and was important for this seminar. The conflict management with facilitation and mediation lecture spoked about culture of conflicts, democratical participating, postconflics situation and metods for making good agrements. Participants think the lecture was very good, but large amount of information was presented in a short time, without brakes. The lecture should've been divided into smaller parts. In the Virtual Parliament workshop there were four imaginary political parties. Social - Democratic Party 48% The ruling party was Social-Democratic Party with support of Green Party. The main discusion was about the proposal of the law about possesion and carring guns. This proposal was submitted by the Conservative party. The workshop was very successful and participant showed political skills and they were active. The Course about ecology (enviromental sunday) was helded on Stara Planina mountain, and it spoked about protecting enviroment, problems and finding solutions for those problems. Ten pupils from Gimnasium of Knjazevac attended this course.. All participants were divided in four groups and had an assignment to define a environmental problem in their region and then to propose a solution. This course was very good and workshop too. Participants were satisfied with place where workshop was helded. The last evening of the seminar the farewel dinner for all participants in Knjazevac was organized. There was a meeting with representatives from all present organisations. The topic was the next project of Youth Action for Tolerance. The press conference for local television was held in Sokobanja after evaluation the last day. There were Joerg Hinrish-Lahmann,OSCE,Martin Ivanov,RDFY,Bojana S. veljkovic,AFICT,Faruk Krueziu,Youth Center and Robert Rustemov, LIDEM, Macedonia, They spoked about YAT project, about previous seminar held in Kosovo and this one in Serbia as well as about future events. Knjazevac In this time of the year there is a lot of youth witch don't know what to do with their free time in the summer nights, because they don't have any social and cultural events in Knjazevac city at all. On the main board of head office in Belgrade in June 2003. We deicide to organize a small festival, trough project international cooperation with organization HTPC – France supported financially by AFICT & Friends. Energy Fest is cultural-music festival with performers from France and Serbia. Main goal of Energy Fest is to presents good sound and quality of electronic music for the first time in Knjazevac city where we also have AFICT office. Music is just an energy witch youth need to use on the right way, because people here don't get a chance to meet new music styles, new culture, traditions like new people. All performers show one real power of kindness with good vibes with reggae, Drum and Bass, Techno, Brake Beat and House rhythms like on the promotion on 15.7.2003. In City Café. One of the great characteristics is human work and volunteerism. All money from the ticket sale goes to the sick children witch need medicines. We bring D.J-s from France and Serbia in Knjazevac fortress in the center of the city. Two days with different styles of electronic music. It was about 650 youth for two days of the festival. Energy Fest 31.7-2.8.2004. Knjazevac
The first day on Energy main event, most of the participants were D.J's from EX-YU republics witch presents great solution for better communication between “Brother People” and we put all together on one event after separation until present. Artists are already famous with a lot of sets behind them in their states and info rein countries more. We had great night with a lot of emotions and positive vibes… The second day with prowled we presents the most actual star of legendary “Planet Rhythm” brilliant Swedish producer and D.J. Staffan Ehrlin witch presents in his set new material of Goat Head, Sons Of Piry-Native Diffusion ep... and Window Pain, like hits of Europe club scene all of that in combination with works like Cloned Vinyl,Drumworks,Armalyte,evil Deception, brutal without compromise!!! With Erlin, we presents and artists from France and SCG. It was night of dynamic tension… The thread day Energy finished with crew HI-Tech-Procedure and The Obscurs from France . They transmits atmosphere from the best clubs in France , Belgium , Spain were they are very popular and glad quests. That was very pumping & powerful happy party people with cut effects and filters burned the Baranica dance floor till the end of the festival. The main goal of the festival are to present new cultures, to educate, to connect youth from different European countries and share experience. What we want to accomplish with the international cooperation project, part2? This project aims to bring together about 15 performers from EX-YU republics, like from France and Sweden this year to connect together and to show to wider community as well, that connecting youth after the conflicts is possible, and that true approach to peace, cultural exchange in the whole region and wide. One of the goals this year is to help sick children witch suffer of diabetes and who live in Timok region, because there is not such an events and chance for it for the moment. Just for tree days of the festival youth traveling trough the Europe without passport and enjoy the electronic music. Location of the festival is just 4kilometers far away from the Knjazevac called “Baranica”; it's placed near the Timok River with big camp free of charge for the visitors. Free Bus line on each 30min on relation Center-Baranica till 05.00 a.m. Promo parties of Energy Fest: Belgrade , Valjevo, Nis , Zajecar and Knjazevac. About 1000 youth visit these parties. For the first time AFICT have stand on EXIT festival in Novi Sad. Main goal of the project is to raise cultural –social life in Kosovo. Music is just an energy witch youth need to use on the right way, because people here don't get a chance to meet new music styles, new culture, traditions & new people. With this device AFICT will present to young people from Kosovo, how youth work & manage on the EXIT Festival with documentary movie- Story about Exit 05 -witch will be present to the rest of the non-government & government organizations in entire Kosovo. AFICT will continue to play main role in creating modern society in Kosovo, with strong antiwar position against primitivism & nationalism. YAP time period: August 2005- December 2005. We have pilot research about social-life in Kosovo and 200 people gave theirs opinion about cultural life in Kosovo, better methods, living together after the conflicts. Results show good will of youth for making things better in Kosovo region. Are stand visit many people, from different organizations. We establish good connection; make some planes in near future with organizations from Kosovo.
